This day is a dream come true for us and we couldn’t be more excited to share it with all of our family and friends. All of this wouldn’t be possible without the love and support from you all, so from the bottom of our hearts, thank you! A special thank you goes out to our parents because without their support this day wouldn’t be possible! We hope you find this website fun and informative to answer many of the questions you may have. We cannot wait to see you all! Safe travels!
Call it fate, call it God’s plan, or call what you want but Kevin & Cortney’s story on how they found love is truly unique. As Kevin & Cortney were both in search of love, they had each created a profile on match.com during a free promotional trial to see if anyone would spark their interest. Kevin came across Cortney’s picture and saw a really cute girl. He read her profile and she had many of the same interests and qualities he was interested in. He thought he would try to reach out to her and send her a message to see if she would be interested in getting to know each other. After no response for a few days (because messages couldn’t be read with a free trial), he really wanted to connect with this girl but had no idea what her name was as the website does not list names. Cortney had used her first name as part of her username so Kevin tried to search for Cortney on Facebook. Crazy enough, after one search he found the same girl that he had seen on match.com. She popped up as the first Cortney on his search because they had two mutual friends.
Kevin decided to send her a message on Facebook because he was really interested and knew she would be able to receive this message. A long message that Kevin sent to Cortney was prefaced with “you can take this one of two ways, either I’m genuinely interested or a creeper, and I hope you take this as I’m genuinely interested.” Cortney received the message and she was excited because she was thinking about paying a fee on match.com to reach out to Kevin as she was really interested in him. Cortney’s sister Brenda told her now would not be a good time to try to start a relationship as the holidays were approaching and Brenda was on the verge of getting married in less than two months so she wouldn’t have much time for dating. Later that day, Cortney responded to Kevin and the two sent Facebook messages back and forth getting to know one another. Facebook messages turned into text messages, and finally a phone call to confirm that they were going to meet at Park Tavern for dinner and bowling on December 1, 2013.
Kevin & Cortney planned to meet at Park Tavern at 7:45pm on Sunday evening. Story has it, Kevin was waiting near the door at 7:45 because he had never met her in person before so he wanted to make a great first impression. 7:50 rolled around and Cortney still hadn’t showed up so Kevin sent a text to Cortney letting her know he was standing just inside the door when she showed up. 7:52 and their last first date had begun. (Cortney had been waiting in her car for the 7 minutes because she was nervous.) The two continued to hit it off like they had for previous 10 days sending messages back and forth to one another.
The dates continued with concerts, sporting events, movies, and anything to spend time with one another. Kevin & Cortney loved getting to know each other’s family & friends. Traveling together to explore new places is also something they have done in their 3+ years of dating. From Nashville to Biwabik, Minnesota it didn’t matter if it was near or far they always looked forward to getaways together.
After Kevin returned from Palm Springs while working for Nike for 3 months he wanted to surprise Cortney with a trip to one of their favorite weekend getaways, Giants Ridge in Biwabik, Minnesota. On Friday, April 29th the two got up and had breakfast in their villa that they were staying in. Kevin had scheduled massages for the two later that morning. After feeling very relaxed, they returned to the villa to relax a little bit more before Kevin proposed the idea to go hike up the ski hill to a spot they found a year earlier during one of their trips up to Giants Ridge. The snow wasn’t completely gone in spots on the hill and the ground that was clear was very soft in spots from all the melting. The hike wasn’t easy and Cortney wanted to divert to a different part of the hill.
With Kevin’s persistence and encouragement they finally made it up to the lookout spot with a patio area for sitting. Luckily, Kevin had packed a bag with a couple of Summer Shandy’s and a blanket so they could just hang out at this spot for a bit all by themselves. Kevin & Cortney had played the “question game” early in their days of dating to get to know each other, where you could ask the other person anything and the other person would have to answer the question. Kevin suggested they start playing the game again all while taking timed pictures with the Ipad he brought in the bag as well. On the last picture, Kevin hit video record rather than the picture. He went back to pose for the picture again and then told Cortney he had one more question for her. “Will you make me the luckiest man alive, Cortney Dabelstein will you marry me?!”

Q: Do we have to do the traditional formal pictures?
A: No, absolutely not! Our style is genuine, and that is what makes us different. Though formals are nice, it is the shots with raw emotion, the ones we get when our couples don't know we are photographing them, that people fall in love with.
Q: Do I really have to wait 4 weeks to get my images after my wedding day? 1 month seems a bit long….
A: We say that to allow cushion just in case of emergencies. In most cases, you will receive your images in less than 4 weeks.
Q: I often hear that couples regret not investing in a good photographer on their wedding day. Tell me why this is?
A: It is soo very important to invest in your wedding photography. It is key to know, that this will be the only means to any memory that you will have, that is a true representation of how beautiful the day was. Doing your research, and asking the right questions is very important. You hear time and time again, people regretting not investing in a good photographer. You never hear someone regret spending too much on a photographer!
We want our couples to be very confident in their choice of photographer. It is not only important make sure our styles match, but to also make sure our personalities match as well! Please contact us to set up a wedding consultation, free of charge. Here we can get to know one another, answer any questions you have, and show you our latest wedding images and products.

Of course, Tiana and I have been sisters since birth, but we ALSO have been friends since birth. Yes, we had a couple fights here and there, but the majority of our life, we have gotten along and bonded as sisters. I have always looked up to my big sister in all things in life; being smart, hardworking, taking pride in the things we accomplish, loving our parents, and most of all, advice! I am so grateful that she and I get along so well; there is nothing like a sister bond. She and Craig are also making me a first time auntie, and I cannot wait to meet the little girl in March!
Kirbie and I met at some point in college, although we didn’t go to college together. I met her through Courtney, as they were good friends, and Kirbie would come visit and party with us on the weekends in Mankato. I think we really “hit it off” when she came to visit/stay with me for my 21st birthday weekend! I remember being surprised, as Courtney wasn’t going to make it, and Kirbie was still coming (not knowing many people). I am so thankful she did, because that started what will be, a lifelong friendship! Kirbie and I lived together for a couple years after college, and made some really great memories. We became so close, our parents thought of us as third children to their families! Kirbie has recently gotten engaged too, so I am super excited to go through this wedding planning with her and celebrate her big day in August 2017!
Sydney is Casey’s younger sister, and although I already have a sister, I have always wanted a younger sibling, so I couldn’t be more excited to be getting one! I love the bond Casey and Sydney have, as it is like no other sibling relationship; they are always there for each other, and Casey looks out for his sister and loves her so much. I am excited to be a part of their family, and hope to be there for Sydney too, giving her the best advice I can while she embarks on her journey through life, finishing college and finding the man of her dreams, someday (girl, enjoy it while you can).
I honestly don’t remember the moment we met, but it has been some years ago, back in the dancing days (16 years ago??). I am so glad my mom finally put me into dance lessons, because I gained this beautiful friendship! Katie and I can go months without talking, and yet we pick up right where we left off, which is why our friendship has stayed so strong over the years! Katie’s recently married to a wonderful man, Greg, and I am so excited to see what our future holds as best “couple” friends!
Oh gosh, where do I start? Kelley and I have been childhood friends since 1st grade! She lived not too far from me and I remember some of the best memories being made with her; riding bikes to school, jumping on her trampoline for hours, parties at each other’s houses, cat fights, summer days spent with each other, birthday parties, dating best friends in High School, getting matching tattoos, and visiting each other in college. Kelley is the friend that has always been there for me no matter what, and I love her for that!
Courtney and I met in college, even though it wasn’t on good standards at first One summer, we were the only girls that stayed in Mankato, so naturally, we went out with all of our guy friends all of the time, and eventually we became best buds! So glad we got over the petty stuff and “clicked” because this lady is an awesome friend. We share many memories from college and sometimes, I wish we could go back; those were the days!
Jazzy and I met in 2009 through the MN National Guard. She was a Supply Sergeant and our companies shared rooms at the time (drill weekends). I don’t know when we started becoming friends outside of drill, but what I do know is that I have always looked up to this strong, driven, hardworking lady. She’s definitely one who gave me the motivation to be the best I can at what I do in the Army and I continue to look up to her. This woman has a big heart and is one great friend!
Lauren and I also go way back to elementary days. Actually, I believe we met in t-ball or softball! This girl is the most caring and hilarious friend you can have. Lauren and I can also go months without talking, but pick up right where we left off. One thing that makes this girl stand out as a friend; she ALWAYS remembers to thank me on Veterans day, no matter where she or I are, she’s always sending me a message!
